2003JUN07 - River Tour

1 I decided to take an architectural river tour/cruise on the Chicago river with Shoreline Sightseeing.	2 It's the first time I've ever done one of these tours and it was a lot of fun. You have to try it for yourself.	3 The water spout fires off every hour on the hour and is part of a fountain that was commissioned by the city.	4 As you can see, ut was an absolutely gorgeous day in Chicago.	5 This, I believe, is the Wrigley Building.	6 The twin antennas of the John Hancock Center, or as the locals call it - the "Batman" building..
7	8 This is some of the detail that was built into the Chicago Tribune Tower	9 This Chicago Tribune Tower is a pretty impressive building.	10	11 There were boats of all shapes and sizes out on the water.	12 This is 35 East Wacker and is better known as the Jewelers Building.
13	14 These two towers ar the Marina City complex where you can find the House Of Blues.	15 If you're in Chicago, you need to eat at Bob Chin's - it's awesome.	16 Ever wondered what the underside of a Chicago bridge looked like - well here you go.	17 This is the Merchandise Mart building. Pretty impressive ain't it.	18
19 You can see here storage buildings turned into condos that are going for $400k plus.	20 Chicago on a nice day is a great city to go and explore, especially from the water. Next time you're there, get on a boat and check it out.	21 The tall building in the middle is the Sear Tower, while the one to it's right is Boeing headquarter with boasts the world highest clock tower.	22	23 This is 333 West Wacker and looks like a glass wave.	24 Here is the Sears Tower in all it's glory.
25 Even though it's one of the tallest buildings in the world, from here it doesn't look all that impressive.	26 To truly appreciated the building and it's height, you really need to take the elevator to the 103 floor for a look.	27	28	29 This is the Central Office Building from 1913.	30 We're heading back out onto Lake Superior of which Chicago pulls over 2 billion gallons of water a DAY from.
